Merchandise Returns and Exchanges, and Restocking Fee

Merchandise appearing on a Standard TV & Appliance sales order or original sales receipt (for Cash and Carry items) may be returned for full refund* or store credit, or exchanged within 30-days of pick-up or
delivery under the following conditions:

  1. Merchandise is not a Special Order item (see Special Order Merchandise and Services section below).
  2. Merchandise is in its factory-sealed package (unopened) with the packaging being in its original condition with all labels affixed.
  3. Exclusions: air conditioners and barbecue grills are excluded from this policy.

A minimum 15% restocking fee will be applied to merchandise returned within 30 days of delivery or pick-up if not returned in the condition noted in (2.) above.

Special Order Merchandise and Services
Per the Terms and Conditions of the Special Order Product Agreement and Disclosure form, Special Order merchandise is not returnable. Similarly, charges for installation and delivery services provided by Standard TV staff are nonrefundable after they have been performed.  Fees incurred for installation and delivery services provided by a third party are not eligible for refund consideration.

Damaged Merchandise
Inspect your merchandise for, and inform us of, damage at time of pick-up or delivery. After you take possession of the merchandise, the manufacturer’s warranty applies and some, not all, provide coverage for cosmetic damage and, of the ones that do, the damage must be reported promptly. Manufacturer reporting periods vary, the longest being within 30 days of pick-up or delivery. Refer to your manufacturer’s warranty for specifics.

Functional Defect
If, within 7 days of pick-up or delivery, you report a performance problem with your merchandise and the problem is subsequently diagnosed as a functional defect by a factory-certified technician and is unable to be repaired within three business days of the diagnosis, your merchandise will be replaced. Performance concerns reported after this 7-day period will be addressed per the terms and conditions of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Mattress 60-Night Sleep Guarantee
You must sleep on your mattress for 21 days to be eligible for this guarantee. After becoming eligible, you may exchange* your mattress within 60 days of you having taken possession of the mattress (via pick-up or delivery) if you are dissatisfied with your mattress for any reason (you must pay the difference between the price of original and replacement mattresses, and any delivery fees for the replacement mattress). This guarantee is limited to one exchange. BeautySleep mattresses, mattresses that are stained or damaged, and adjustable foundations are excluded from this policy.


*Refunds for items purchased with a credit card are credited to the original card. Refunds for items purchased via cash, check, or debit come in the form of a check from our corporate office mailed within 14 business days of the return date. Refunds for items purchased with store credit, gift card, or gift certificate are refunded as store credit that will remain active for 3 years. Promotional items must be returned with product or their retail value will be deducted from the refund, store credit or exchange value.
